3-Star Protection – Provides owners with a 20-year warranty on materials and labor. This warranty will also provide the cost of the current roof tear-off if a warranty replacement is needed. This warranty is also fully transferable to a new owner of the home within 10 years of replacement.
4-Star Protection – This next step-up warranty provides owners with a 50-year warranty on materials, labor, tear off as included in the 3-Star but will also include the disposal of the old roofing material in the event of a warranty replacement. The 4-Star warranty can be transferred to a new owner of the home within 12 years of replacement.
5-Star Protection – The is the top-of-the-line extended warranty provided by CertainTeed as this is a 50-year, non-prorated warranty that provides all of the offerings of the 4-Star warranty; materials, labor, tear off, and disposal, but they will add a 25-year workmanship warranty for added protection. This 5-Star warranty can be transferred to a new owner of the home within 15 years of replacement.
